Job summary

City of Roseville is seeking an Arborist Technician to maintain the urban forest, conduct tree risk assessments, and supervise contractors and program budgets. You will lead a dedicated urban forestry team, coordinate crew activities, and ensure safety and compliance across projects.

Minimum qualifications include four years of municipal tree care and two years of staff leadership, plus ISA credentials and relevant California licenses.

Qualifications

• Four years of municipal tree care, tree maintenance, and urban forest management experience; two years in staff leadership.
• Equivalent to high school completion; forestry/arborecology/natural resource coursework desirable.
• Possession of California Class C driver’s license; Class B license within one year of appointment.
• Possession of ISA Certified Arborist and ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification within one year of appointment; QAC certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tree risk assessments to promote public safety and health of the urban forest.
• Lead the urban forestry team and oversee contractors and program budgets.
• Coordinate with departments and ensure compliance with city policies and safety standards.
