Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Class B CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Available to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Strong manual dexterity to operate maintenance tools.
• Ability to perform duties in varying weather, at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Plant and maintain trees on city properties, including planting, pruning and removal.
• Operate equipment and perform right-of-way maintenance.
• Assess safety of public trees and determine removal or pruning needs.
• Assist in preparations for special events as needed.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment for safe operation.
