Job summary

Huitt-Zollars, Inc. seeks a Urban Development Vice President and Civil Engineering Principal in Charge for the Rio Rancho, NM office. The role requires a PE in NM with 15+ years of experience and PM leadership.

Responsibilities include client development, staff mentorship, and overall project execution. The position is full-time, in-office, with duties across plan production, bid management, and strategic growth of Federal and Institutional markets.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in New Mexico with at least 15 years experience and 8 years of PM experience.
• Experience producing accurate construction plans and reports.
• Ability to train/mentor staff and review work for QA.
• Strong leadership, management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Principal-in-charge and Senior Project Manager on key projects.
• Identify contacts/clients/opportunities for new work.
• Train/mentor staff and review work for quality assurance.
• Grow the Federal and Institutional group.
• Ensure resources meet scheduling and budget commitments.
• Interface with clients, develop proposals, negotiate scopes and fees.
• Prepare project work plans and schedules, manage design and construction drawings.
