Job summary

Huitt-Zollars, Inc. in Oklahoma City is seeking a Principal-in-Charge/Vice President for our Oklahoma City office with at least 15 years of experience and a PE license in Oklahoma to lead the Federal and Institutional group, manage plan production, and oversee client relations.

This full-time, in-office role requires strong leadership, business development, mentoring staff, and delivering technically sound designs while ensuring quality controls and project delivery on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed PE in Oklahoma with a minimum of 15 years of experience and 8 years of project management experience.
• Experience with producing accurate and complete construction plans and reports.
• Ability to work independently in a team environment and to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written skills, communicating engineering information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to train/mentor staff and review work for quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Function as a Lead Principal-in-charge and as a Senior Project Manager on key projects.
• Identify contacts/clients/opportunities for new work.
• Train/mentor staff and review work for quality assurance.
• Grow the Federal and Institutional group.
• Ensure the Project Manager and/or Project Teams have the resources necessary to meet scheduling and budget commitments on projects.
• Interface daily with clients, develop proposals, negotiate scopes and fees, ensure timely billing and collections and prepare change orders.
