Job summary

Synergy, a leading Boston commercial real estate firm, seeks a Building Engineer to join our engineering team in Boston. This role performs maintenance, responds to work orders and tenant calls, and supports building operations for an urban office property.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in building maintenance (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), a valid Massachusetts driver's license, and strong communication skills. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

3–5 years work experience in building maintenance and operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic controls system, EMS and other building mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Monitors building system operations and performance; maintains lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and associated equipment.
Oversees and inspects work by outside contractors, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and cleaning services.
Performs repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance; maintains maintenance and repair records.
Reviews work orders, estimates time/materials, and orders necessary supplies.
Manages energy management programs to keep operating costs at a minimum.
