Metro State University seeks a TRIO Upward Bound Pre-College Advisor in St. Paul, MN. This unclassified fixed-term role is federally funded by the U.S.

Department of Education and housed in the TRIO Upward Bound Program within the Dean of Students/Student Success Division. Salary ranges from $47,788 to $78,458, commensurate with education and experience; employment is governed by the MSUAASF collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or other field is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge or experience in STEM or other workshops and education.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with underrepresented youth populations and/or experience in student services, human services, and educational services in a school or community agency setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge or experience in working with students of color, recent immigrants, first-generation college-bound students, and students coming from limited-income families.
• Must possess strong communication skills (written & verbal).
• Meet required criminal background checks to work within the school system.
