Competenze

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geology, Geophysics, or related Earth Science field.
• Minimum of 5 years of upstream exploration geoscience experience.
• Proficiency with seismic interpretation software (Petrel, Kingdom Suite, SKUA-GOCAD).
• Strong understanding of structural geology, stratigraphy, and petroleum systems.
• Experience with well logs and petrophysical evaluation.

About the Role

Our client, a leading entity within the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking a highly skilled Upstream Exploration Geoscientist to join their dedicated team in Upington, Northern Cape. This role is central to identifying and evaluating new exploration opportunities, utilizing advanced geological and geophysical techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting seismic data, integrating subsurface information, and developing geological models to assess prospectivity and quantify potential hydrocarbon resources. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Proficiency in seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite, SKUA-GOCAD).
• Strong understanding of structural geology, stratigraphy, and petroleum systems.
• Experience with well log analysis and petrophysical evaluation.
• Proven ability to identify and mature exploration prospects.

• Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities.
