Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Process Engineer to join a leading biotechnology manufacturing organization. This role focuses on upstream manufacturing operations, ensuring process equipment performance, and providing technical troubleshooting within a GMP environment.

The engineer will work directly with manufacturing systems, investigate operational issues, and partner with cross‑functional teams to improve reliability and efficiency of bioprocess equipment and controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
6+ years in regulated manufacturing process engineering.
Experience with stainless steel bioprocess equipment and related utility systems.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical owner for media preparation equipment across upstream processing.
Investigate and resolve manufacturing challenges related to process performance and equipment.
Support commercial manufacturing by monitoring operations and ensuring equipment readiness.
Lead deviation investigations, change control, root cause analyses and CAPA related to process equipment.
Collaborate with maintenance, automation, instrumentation, and manufacturing teams to optimize equipment reliability.
