Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing organization. This onsite, long-term contract role is based in Holly Springs, NC and offers potential extension with conversion to full-time employment.

The Senior Process Engineer will support upstream manufacturing operations, providing technical expertise for process optimization, troubleshooting, and manufacturing support across a world-class cell culture facility.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
6-10 years in biotech manufacturing or process engineering.
Experience with upstream bioprocessing and large-scale manufacturing.
Hands-on experience with stainless steel bioprocess equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot processes, equipment, and automation controls.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for upstream manufacturing operations, including bioreactors and systems.
Troubleshoot process, equipment, and automation-related issues during campaigns.
Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, MSAT, Engineering, Automation and Quality teams.
Analyze process data and support investigations and corrective actions in GMP environment.
Provide hands-on floor support during production activities.
