Viejas Casino & Resort is seeking a Server – Specialty to provide outstanding food and beverage service in our restaurant, delivering prompt, friendly and accurate orders.

Responsibilities include taking orders, describing menu items, upselling, maintaining spotless tables, and ensuring guest satisfaction while adhering to safety and alcohol policies. Must have Food Handler’s Certificate, be 21+, and able to work flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Food Handler’s Certificate required.
• RASS or TIPS Certification within 90 days of employment.
• California Responsible Beverage Service Training and Certification required upon hire.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 1–2 years of related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders from guests using position number technique and enters into POS within time limits.
• Ensures all 13 Standards of Service are met for each guest.
• Describes menu in detail and answers questions regarding ingredients, allergens, and preparation; informs guests on daily specials.
• Uses descriptive language and upsell techniques to enhance guest experience.
• Pre-sets tables with condiments, utensils, or plates and maintains table cleanliness.
• Delivers meals from kitchen to guests and handles payment procedures timely.
• Maintains knowledge of wines (domestic and international) and makes recommendations.
• Supports team members and communicates guest needs to ensure service flow.
• Maintains safe, clean, hazard-free work environment and adheres to policies.
