Job summary

Ida Claire in Dallas seeks friendly servers to provide attentive, knowledgeable service of food and beverage in a fast-paced, upscale Southern-inspired setting. You will maintain cleanliness, accuracy in orders, and guest satisfaction throughout each shift.

The role requires excellent English communication, the ability to stand for long periods, and the strength to lift up to 50 pounds. Previous high-volume restaurant experience is preferred, with a passion for hospitality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Experience in high-volume, upscale restaurant environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Current Food Handler certification and Responsible Alcohol Service certification, or ability to obtain both.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests and coworkers in a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic manner.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, prepared and ready to work.
• Maintain proper uniform standards at all times while in work areas.
• Accurately enter all food and beverage orders into the restaurant's POS system.
• Stock and replenish service stations as needed, including polished silverware and glassware.
• Assist guests with questions about the menu and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
• Continually develop and maintain knowledge of the food, liquor, beer, and wine menus.
• Handle all cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently according to company standards.
• Execute proper food and beverage delivery, placement, and removal at all tables.
• Consistently pre-bus and manicure tables throughout the restaurant—not just within your assigned station.
• Communicate guest concerns, questions, and operational issues to the management team in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with coworkers, support staff, and management to provide an exceptional guest experience.
• Perform appropriate opening and closing duties, including disassembling, cleaning, and sanitizing workstations after each shift.
• Set up and prepare the restaurant and service team for the next shift's success.
• Practice proper sanitation procedures and follow all regulations regarding the sale and service of alcohol.
• Participate in continuing education, training, and development opportunities.
• Maintain complete knowledge of the food and beverage menus, as well as a strong understanding of host and support-staff procedures.
• Maintain assigned tables and proactively assist guests throughout their visit, ensuring the highest quality dining experience possible.
• Support the overall team and restaurant by stepping outside of your assigned station when needed.
