Job summary

Biltmore is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant at the Gardener's Place shop in Asheville. The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest service, assisting guests with selections, and managing accurate cash register operations.

Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required to support business needs. Responsibilities include restocking, maintaining shop appearance to reflect the Biltmore brand, and providing team support to leadership and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous retail and/or customer service experience strongly preferred.
• Exceptional guest relations and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register/POS system.

Responsibilities

• Provides an exceptional guest service experience for each visitor by greeting and welcoming all guests warmly.
• Develops proficiency and accuracy in all POS register operations, including handling of money.
• Assists with opening/closing shops and setting up sampling areas.
• Maintains shop cleanliness and appearance; restocks merchandise.
• Upsells and cross-sells to maximize sales; supports leadership.
