Job summary

Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot seeks a motivated Restaurant Server to deliver exceptional service in our upscale hotel restaurant. You will greet guests, take orders accurately, upsell specials, and collaborate with the team to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.

Requirements include 1+ year of guest service experience, High school diploma or GED, and proficiency in English. TIPS/Care certification or ability to obtain it is preferred.

Qualifications

• One or more years of guest service experience.
• TIPS or CARE beverage service certification desired, or ability to obtain certification.
• Must communicate in English (speaking, understanding, writing).
• Must be able to stand and walk continuously.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates and responds to guests in a friendly, positive and timely manner.
• Provides the highest quality service and establishes rapport with guests.
• Listens attentively, takes orders accurately, and uses proper serving techniques.
• Knowledgeable about specials and promotions and actively up-sells menu items.
• Adheres to health regulations and liquor laws and follows POS procedures.
• Completes side work and maintains a clean, safe work area.
• Works as a team to meet guest needs and supports other departments when needed.
