Job summary

The Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel seeks a bartender to deliver guest service through beverage preparation across outlets. You will set up bar stations, greet guests, take orders, and prepare cocktails per standard recipes.

This role requires knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, plus ability to work varied shifts and locations, including weekends, holidays, and overtime. Strong English communication and POS proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year bartending experience.
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer and presentation.
• Clear and professional English communication, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Provides guest service support across food and beverage outlets, as assigned based on business needs
• Follows, enforces, complies with, and adheres to all Omni rules, policies, procedures, standards, and recipes
• Sets up, maintains, and breaks down bar stations, ensuring cleanliness and operational readiness throughout the shift
• Greets guests with a pleasant demeanor and delivers professional, courteous, and attentive service
• Takes beverage and food orders, answers menu questions, and offers recommendations and daily specials
• Prepares cocktails and beverages according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines
• Mixes drinks for service staff only when properly entered into the POS system
• Maintains familiarity with wine lists, beer selections, spirits, appropriate glassware, and garnishes
• Ensures consistency and quality in beverage presentation and execution
• Records all transactions accurately in the POS system and adheres to established cash-handling procedures
• Presents accurate checks to guests and processes payments in a timely manner
• Maintains knowledge of property amenities and other food and beverage outlets
• Enforces all applicable liquor liability laws and responsible alcohol service policies
• Duties, responsibilities, and work locations may change or be assigned at any time based on business needs.
• Associates may be cross trained in multiple functions or outlets to support operational efficiency and professional development
• Must be available to work varied schedules, shifts, and locations, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and different outlets as assigned
