Job summary

EverTrue is seeking an attentive dining server for an upscale setting. You will greet guests, take and serve orders, and ensure an outstanding dining experience. Familiarity with menus and allergens, plus the ability to recall multiple requests, is essential.

The role emphasizes teamwork, excellent service, and adherence to safety standards. Competitive pay starts at $15/hour and goes up to $22/hour, with Pay Grade 07 and a robust benefits package for part-time and full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in upscale dining is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipe instructions, diet orders, resident preference cards, and work assignments.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Patient and tolerant toward staff, residents, and family members.
• Develop constructive working and interpersonal relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
• Service orientation and excellent organizational skills.
• Active listening and effective communication competencies.
• Willing to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine if working within St. Louis County (per health regulations).

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service that reflects an upscale dining experience.
• Take and serve food/beverage orders in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Greet customers courteously and address dissatisfied customers when needed.
• Know all menu details and describe how each item is prepared; identify allergens.
• Make recommendations or share menu information with customers.
• Serve 16 or more guests at a time; recall orders upon request.
• Maintain quality by checking products and correcting issues.
• Assist with dining service setup and cleanup; support catering events.
• Assist with receiving and storing food; ensure proper temperatures and on-time service.
