Matchbox is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to welcome guests, manage the waitlist, and seat guests in a busy upscale casual dining environment. You will be the first smile guests see and the key to a smooth dining flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume, upscale casual dining or equivalent service environment preferred.
• Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours).
• Use hands and arms to operate reservation systems and phones.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
• Manage the waitlist and seating arrangements efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely seating of guests.
• Provide accurate and helpful information to guests regarding menus, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and lobby area, making a great first impression on guests.
• Coordinate with the serving staff and kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient flow of guest seating and service.
