Job summary

The Village Hotel is seeking an experienced Bartender to greet guests, prepare beverages, and provide world-class service in the bar and Village Social areas. You will take orders, manage POS transactions, and engage guests while supporting the restaurant/hotel team.

Schedule varies with start times at 11:00 am or 3:00 pm; weekend availability is required. Ideal candidates have at least six months of bartending experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to hospitality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional certification/training preferred.
• Minimum six months bartending experience, ideally in upscale or fine dining.
• Basic math skills; ability to follow recipes and mixology techniques.
• Strong commitment to delivering world-class guest service.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage a wide range of guests.
• Proactive, good judgment, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills; able to multi-task and prioritize.
• Willingness to learn about Biltmore and Asheville area.
• Must be 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and deliver gracious hospitality.
• Take beverage and food orders; apply product knowledge and suggestive selling.
• Enter orders in POS accurately; track tabs and reconcile at end of shift.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and according to standards.
• Ensure guests have necessary utensils and condiments; maintain bar cleanliness.
• Pre-bus and bus dirty glassware; keep bar and public areas tidy at all times.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and maintain positive guest relations.
• Resolve guest issues to standards and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Keep area stocked, prepped, and set; perform opening/closing duties as assigned.
