Job summary

Sure Power, Inc. seeks a UPS Service Engineer to refurbish, install, maintain, and troubleshoot UPS systems across the continental U.S. The role demands hands-on electrical and mechanical knowledge, with on-call responsibilities and varied shifts.

The ideal candidate will read schematics, service 3-phase/480V and 208V systems, and coordinate commissioning and on-site testing. DOT medical certificate and clean driving record required; DOT-regulated travel is involved.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent with 2+ years of UPS service experience.
• Experience with 25 KVA+ UPS systems preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate and pass a drug/alcohol screen.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills and ability to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Refurbish, install, maintain, and troubleshoot UPS systems and equipment.
• Perform on-site commissioning, testing, and design reviews.
• Build and prep battery systems for shipment to customer sites.
• Provide emergency field service and remote support as required.
• Complete Field Service Reports promptly and accurately.
• Coordinate on-site testing and shipment logistics for UPS projects.
• Read electrical schematics and one-line diagrams to component level.
