The Mathematics (Math) Teacher at Ransom Everglades Upper School (US) is a full-time faculty position responsible for teaching various math courses, including Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and/or Statistics. The US Math Teacher promotes lifelong learning while engaging and supporting a diverse student body in a values-based community.

Responsibilities

1. Teach five math courses across different levels, including Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and/or Statistics.
2. Deliver engaging and effective lessons using diverse instructional strategies to cater to different learning styles.
3. Create and administer assessments like quizzes, tests, projects, and exams to measure student progress.
4. Provide individualized support and feedback to students, including tutoring during office hours.
5. Maintain a positive, structured, and respectful learning environment.
6. Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices.
7. Communicate regularly with parents about student progress through conferences and reports.
8. Collaborate with colleagues within the math department to share resources and strategies.
9. Participate in extracurricular activities and school community events.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field; Master’s preferred.
