Grace Place School is private Christian school, dedicated to providing a path to hope for youth escaping sex trafficking or those vulnerable/at risk to recruitment. We offer a supportive, and safe environment where students can thrive and receive the high school education they need. Our school plays a crucial role in transforming lives and ensuring a better future for the youth in our care. We have a small classroom setting with 5 staff supporting 12-13 students. All teachers and staff receive trauma informed care training.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Math Teacher, located on-site in Pompano Beach, FL. The Math Teacher will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging mathematics lessons, creating curriculum and lesson plans, and evaluating student performance. The teacher will also work closely with other staff to support the overall educational goals of the school and provide a nurturing and supportive environment for students.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Mathematics and Mathematics Education
• Experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Passion for working with at-risk youth
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field preferred (but not required)
• Must be able to pass a Level 2 background check
