Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, flexible, and passionate online educator for our Upper School Math program. The ideal candidate enjoys working with middle school students, possesses excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and is responsive and nurturing to support students' transition from Lower School to Middle School. The candidate should be highly skilled in teaching 6th through 9th grade math, including Pre-algebra and Algebra 1, and capable of accommodating students with special needs. Middle School Computer Science teaching experience is a plus. Must be licensed and certified to teach middle school math.
The curriculum is primarily asynchronous, complemented by live virtual interactions. The educator should be comfortable with both modalities and enthusiastic about designing innovative ways to connect virtually. Collaboration is essential, as the role involves working closely with Math Department colleagues, Student Support Services, and the Academic Department Chair. Responsibilities include full-time remote teaching, sponsoring the Middle School Math Club (weekly from September to May), and participating in meetings and live events during Eastern Time business hours, including occasional evenings.
