A local library is seeking a Part Time Circulation Library Assistant for weekend hours in Mission, Kansas. Upper Saddle River Library Weekend Circulation Library Assistant

Weekend Circulation Library Assistant

The Upper Saddle River Library is seeking a Part Time Circulation Library Assistant for weekend hours and additional coverage as needed.

Weekend Circulation Library Assistants perform day to day circulation duties for the Library and work closely with the Weekend Reference Librarians. Circulation Library Assistants report directly to the Head of Circulation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting opening procedures.
• Assisting patrons at the circulation desk and on the phone, including checking materials in and out, retrieving reserved items for patrons, placing holds, renewing items, and creating/renewing library accounts.
• Assisting patrons with library technology and digital services such as the BCCLS ILS, Library website, public computers, printer/scanner/copier, and digital resources.
• Conducting additional circulation duties, including emptying the book drop, shelving returned materials, retrieving items to fulfill hold requests, and other tasks as needed.
• Conducting closing procedures.

Compensation: $18.00 / hour
