Job summary

Jobtailor in Georgia, Macon, is seeking a Medical Device Sales Representative focused on Shoulder Arthroplasty to partner with Sales Reps and grow the assigned territory.

You will support sales calls, educate doctors and staff on product use, manage inventory and understand competitive landscape, traveling up to 70% to attend meetings and surgeries, and help implement sales and marketing strategies to meet targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate’s degree or Medical Certification plus at least 2 years of professional-related experience OR High School Diploma plus at least 4 years of professional-related experience OR 4+ years of active duty military service
  • 1 year Medical Sales Experience preferred
  • Clinical background/experience (Physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, etc.) preferred
  • B2B Sales preferred
  • Strong knowledge/experience of Shoulder Arthroplasty highly preferred
  • Ability to travel 70%
  • Ability to attend sales and professional association meetings outside regular business hours
  • Adherence to regulatory, compliance, licensing, legal, ethical, privacy, confidentiality, and company policy requirements

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales Representatives to learn the medical device industry and Upper Extremities business
  • Contribute to growth in the assigned territory
  • Support sales calls, cover cases, market and promote products, build sets, and manage inventory
  • Attend surgeries to ensure product availability and instruct surgeons on product use and functionality
  • Educate doctors, nurses, and appropriate staff on product use, maintenance, functionality, updates, portfolio changes, and educational programs
  • Contact customers to identify sales opportunities, deliver customer service, and develop relationships
  • Identify prospect needs and develop appropriate responses
  • Tailor promotional messaging, advise on product selection, answer functionality questions, and differentiate Stryker products from competitors
  • Perform field calls in assigned accounts and territory
  • Implement sales plans and marketing strategies to meet or exceed business targets
  • Serve as primary backup contact for Sales Representatives
  • Assist with account problem resolution and customer questions
  • Manage inventory levels and product sets with Sales Representatives
  • Acquire and process customer purchase orders for proper invoicing
  • Maintain training in sales skills and products
  • Monitor industry, customer, and competitive trends
  • Participate in sales and professional association meetings
