Job summary

Pardes Jewish Day School in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a full-time Upper Elementary teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire young learners and bring grade-level expertise in English and history, with ability to engage students in inquiry, problem solving, Project Based Learning, and collaborative exploration.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (graduate degree preferred) and 2–5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• Two to five years of experience preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to equitable and inclusive practices, with respect to pedagogy, curriculum, instruction, and assessment
• A strong understanding of the developmental and learning needs of lower school children. This includes teaching math, literacy, phonics, reading and writing workshop, comprehension, science, mindset, study skills, and social/emotional skills.
• Ability to provide differentiated instruction for specific lessons, skills sets, and/or units of study.
• Enjoy working with an innovative grade-level team to foster the emotional well being and academic success of students
• Excellent classroom management
• Ability to collaborate with other faculty, speciality teachers, staff, and administration
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Job description

Pardes Jewish Day School seeks full-time Upper Elementary teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Other requirements:

• Must be able to pass an initial fingerprint and background clearance check and maintain a valid fingerprint clearance card at all times when in the classroom.
• May be required to work outside normal working hours.
• May be required to travel to perform work functions.
• May be required to lift and carry heavy, bulky supplies and materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
