Job summary

Legal Sea Foods Kendall Square is seeking an experienced server to enhance guest experiences by recommending and serving food and beverages to our high standards. You will greet guests, take orders, explain menu items, and deliver meals promptly while maintaining a friendly, attentive demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle cash and paperwork accurately.
• Demonstrates good judgment.
• Must be knowledgeable of Legal Sea Foods menus, policies, and procedures.
• Must be well versed in Point-of-Sale system.
• Exhibits good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and promptness.
• Must be able to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders.
• Explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods; check allergies.
• Enter orders into the POS system accurately.
• Provide attentive, personalized service and anticipate guests' needs.
• Check on guests during meals and address requests or concerns.
• Refill drinks, clear plates, and reset tables.
• Assist with tidying tables and maintaining a pleasant dining area.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate to management when needed.
• Present bills and process payments accurately and quickly.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings and training sessions.
• Collaborate with fellow servers, hosts, and kitchen staff for smooth service.
