Job summary

Bully Entertainment seeks a Development Lead to steer Unreal Engine projects and guide the Development department. You will mentor a talented team, collaborate with cross-disciplinary groups, and deliver high-quality real-time experiences for global brands.

Leading technical direction, establishing best practices, and ensuring performance are core to the role, with Unity as a secondary asset. Hybrid work is supported.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise-level development in real-time apps focusing on Unreal Engine (C++/Blueprints).
• Unity/C# proficiency is a plus but secondary to Unreal expertise.
• Strong software architecture and design patterns for game/dev environments.
• Experience profiling and optimizing GPU/CPU performance.
• 2+ years in team leadership and building development teams.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and establish best practices (Git flow, CI/CD, code reviews, standards, documentation).
• Lead, mentor, and support a team primarily using Unreal Engine (Unity as secondary).
• Ensure scalable, maintainable UE systems with strong performance.
• Oversee project collaboration with designers, artists, and managers.
• Drive adoption of innovative technologies in AR/VR/AI as appropriate.
• Balance project budgets, timelines, and resources with PMs.
