Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment invites a UI Engineering Lead to shape the UX vision in Unreal Engine for a new franchise at teamLFG. You will deliver production-quality UI systems and mentoring across a cross-disciplinary team of engineers and designers.

Lead, mentor, and collaborate to build HUDs, menus, fonts, and localization workflows while guiding technical decisions and scalable UI tooling for gameplay experiences.

Qualifications

• Ability to write, debug, and maintain code in C++.
• Experience leading engineers and mentoring in a UI subdiscipline.
• Experience building UXUI systems including HUDs, menus, fonts, localization workflows.
• Experience with Unreal Engine development.
• Ability to communicate with customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• With minimal oversight, build and maintain production-quality UI systems, workflows, and tools in C++ on Unreal 5.
• Directly hire, manage and lead engineers working within the UI subdiscipline, providing support, technical mentorship, constructive feedback, and career development coaching.
• Provide technical guidance in UXUI systems to empower teammates across a wide variety of gameplay disciplines.
• Collaborate daily with a cross-disciplinary team to build new player experiences.
