Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a University Recruiter to join our university-focused hiring team in Chicago on an 8-month contract. You will lead full-cycle recruitment for high-volume requisitions, sourcing niche profiles, and guiding candidates from intake to offer acceptance.

You will collaborate with hiring managers, manage candidate pipelines, and coordinate onboarding and verifications. This role emphasizes a strong service orientation and process discipline.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a large requisition load.
• Sourcing for specialized and niche profiles.
• Candidate management through hiring stages.
• Partner with hiring managers throughout lifecycle.
• Recruiting coordination or talent acquisition support experience.
• Strong attention to detail with candidate data and docs.
• Ability to follow established processes under supervision.
• Familiarity with university or campus recruiting programs.
• Excellent communication across locations.

Responsibilities

• Source and attract external candidates for niche profiles.
• Recruit, screen, and interview high-volume requisitions.
• Engage with hiring managers from requisition to offer.
• Maintain candidate relationships and provide updates.
• Extend offers and track acceptance.
• Conduct reference checks and verifications.
• Support onboarding activities and documentation.
• Perform exit interviews and status changes.
• Manage high-volume requisition load with pipelines.
• Track KPIs like offers per requisition and acceptance rates.
• Monitor requisition activity with structured tracking.
• Escalate issues to supervisor when needed.
• Collaborate with recruiting team for peak cycles.
