Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Senior Recruiter to own university recruiting end to end—from campus strategy to intern-to-full-time conversion. You will manage interns, co-ops, and new graduates across Software, Systems, Electrical, Integration & Test, Mechanical Engineering, and select business functions.

You’ll partner with internship program teams, build campus relationships, attend career events, and ensure timely offers and smooth onboarding in a fast-moving, competitive market.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with 3+ years university/campus recruiting.
• Ownership of campus strategy end to end including school selection and events.
• Track record of high-volume technical hiring for engineering roles.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders on workforce planning and demand.
• Strong data instincts with funnel metrics and ROI analysis.
• Proficiency with ATS and sourcing tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel during peak campus season.
• A demonstrated record of teamwork and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Own Shield AI's university recruiting strategy end to end—portfolio, plan, calendar, budget.
• Lead demand collection for interns, co-ops, and intern-to-FTE conversions with business leaders.
• Build Shield AI's campus brand through technical storytelling and relationships.
• Represent Shield AI at career fairs, talks, and sessions; build early pipelines.
• Run full-cycle recruiting for all intern, co-op, and new grad roles in Aircraft.
• Maintain structured evaluation and calibration to keep hiring bars consistent.
• Extend timely offers within framework; partner with Compensation on benchmarking.
• Own the accepted-offer-to-Day-1 experience to reduce reneges.
• Partner with intern program team on mentorship matching and events.
• Own intern conversion cycle and return-intern/full-time offers.
• Report on demand fulfillment, offer/accept rates, conversion, and ROI.
