Job summary

UNCG’s University Communications seeks a Photographer to plan and execute photography across campus, producing high-quality imagery for marketing, enrollment, and advancement. The role emphasizes collaboration with the Image Services team to ensure brand-consistent visuals.

The candidate will cover events, portraits, research photos, and special projects, while delivering edited images within branding standards and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of visual/graphic arts experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in photography or related field; strong portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute photography assignments across university subjects and events.
• Direct subjects during shoots to achieve authentic, high-quality imagery.
• Cover campus events, lectures, athletic events, and donor/alumni gatherings.
• Post-process images using Lightroom/Photoshop and deliver production-ready files.
• Maintain organized image archives and asset management across platforms.
