Job summary

University Communications - UNCG is seeking a skilled Video Editor to join the team. The role focuses on post-production, transforming raw footage into polished video assets that align with the University’s brand and support marketing, enrollment, and storytelling goals.

The candidate will collaborate with the Image Services team to manage multiple projects, ensuring high technical quality and timely delivery across digital and social platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in film, video production, communications, or related field.
• 2–3 years professional video editing experience with a portfolio across formats.
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Adobe Audition.
• Strong color grading, audio mixing, motion graphics, and post-production workflows.
• Experience in higher education, institutional, or marketing video production.
• Proficiency with DaVinci Resolve or other color grading platforms.
• 3D motion graphics or compositing familiarity.
• Familiarity with digital asset management platforms.
• Background in audio production, podcast editing, or voiceover direction.

Responsibilities

• Edit, assemble, and deliver video productions across a range of formats and subjects.
• Review raw footage, create rough cuts, refine through client feedback to final edits.
• Apply color grading, audio mixing, and sound design for high-quality outputs.
• Incorporate motion graphics, lower thirds, titles, and on-screen text per brand guidelines.
• Export and deliver final assets for web, social, broadcast, and events.
