Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years of visual/graphic arts experience related to the area of assignment, or equivalent training and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in photography, visual communications, fine arts, or related field preferred.
• Two to three years of professional photography experience across diverse subjects and environments.
• Strong portfolio showing event, portrait, editorial, and environmental work.
• Proficiency with DSLR or mirrorless cameras and lighting equipment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for post-production.
• Excellent organizational skills and deadline management.
• Professional, approachable demeanor when working with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute photography assignments across university subjects and environments.
• Apply professional techniques in composition, lighting, exposure, and depth of field.
• Direct subjects during portraits and studio sessions for authentic imagery.
• Cover university events, lectures, athletic events, donor and alumni gatherings, and student programs.
• Meet turnaround timelines for post-production and delivery of edited images.
