Job summary

Montana State University is seeking a University Human Resources Analyst to perform advanced data analysis, reporting, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing in support of HR operations and strategic initiatives.

The role requires collaboration with various departments to optimize HR systems, maintain data integrity, and automate processes using Ellucian Banner, Argos, Tableau, and Power BI. Bachelor's degree with 2 years' experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Systems, or related field required.
• At least two years of professional HR analytics experience.
• Strong data analysis, reporting and data integrity skills.
• Experience with Ellucian Banner HR/Payroll, SQL and reporting tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced data analysis, reporting, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing to support HR operations.
• Maintain accuracy of employee data, position numbers, classifications, and records in HR systems.
• Develop and validate HR reports (ATS, analytics) and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist with HRIS maintenance, upgrades, UAT, and workflow automation.
• Collaborate with multiple departments on cross-campus HR analytics initiatives.
