Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Systems, or related field required.
• At least two years of professional HR analytics experience.
• Strong data analysis, reporting and data integrity skills.
• Experience with Ellucian Banner HR/Payroll, SQL and reporting tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced data analysis, reporting, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing to support HR operations.
• Maintain accuracy of employee data, position numbers, classifications, and records in HR systems.
• Develop and validate HR reports (ATS, analytics) and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist with HRIS maintenance, upgrades, UAT, and workflow automation.
• Collaborate with multiple departments on cross-campus HR analytics initiatives.

The role involves performing advanced data analysis, reporting, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing to support Human Resources operations and strategic initiatives. The Analyst collaborates with various departments to optimize HR systems, improve business processes, maintain data integrity, and support decision-making through accurate reporting and process automation.

• Perform advanced data analysis, reporting, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing within University Human Resources.
• Maintain position numbers, classifications, employee records, and ensure data accuracy using systems like Ellucian Banner and Argos.
• Develop, validate, and maintain HR reports including Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Assist with HRIS system maintenance, upgrades, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and workflow automation.
• Support cross-functional strategic projects involving University Data Analytics, University IT, and other Montana University System campuses.
• Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and provide customer service for internal faculty, staff, and administrators.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with HRIS, payroll, or enterprise database systems required.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Systems, or related field plus two years professional experience, or equivalent combination.
• Preferred skills include experience with Ellucian Banner HR/Payroll, SQL, enterprise reporting tools (Argos, Tableau, Power BI), workflow automation, and multi-campus reporting.
• Compensation starts at $28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications; position is full-time and benefits eligible.
