Sodexo is hiring a Cook I at Midland University. You will prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold items for all meal periods and events, following Sodexo’s culinary standards for quality and consistency.

The role requires working in a fast-paced kitchen, maintaining food safety, accurate production, and a clean workstation. Candidates should have basic equipment knowledge and be able to stand long hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold items per Sodexo culinary standards.
• Follow recipes and product directions for cooking and serving items.
• Taste and adjust as needed; read menus and estimate production requirements.
• Maintain clean and organized workstation; comply with safety and sanitation standards.
