Job summary

The University of New Mexico's Center for Micro-Engineered Materials (CMEM) is seeking a professional accountant to manage restricted and unrestricted funds, monitor indexes, reconcile monthly statements, and prepare monthly financial statements and projection reports.

The Accountant I will process labor redistributions, journal vouchers, and requisitions, and review P-Card reconciliations and reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and successful completion of at least 9 credit hours of university-level accounting; no experience required.
• Degrees above minimum education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage restricted and unrestricted funds, monitor indexes, reconcile monthly statements and projections, and process financial transactions like labor redistributions, journal vouchers, and requisitions.
• Review and approve department transactions including P‑Card reconciliations, reimbursements, and requisitions; ensure compliance with purchasing policies and review Chrome River reports and P‑Card statements.
