Qualifications

• High school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years in a financial branch or related industry.
• Ability to cover at other branches and Saturday rotation.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Experience with loan applications and internal policies.
• Knowledge of credit union lending and member service procedures.
• Ability to interpret financial data and perform math calculations.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Pass a background check including credit, drug screen, bondability and criminal background.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and ensure they feel valued and connected to Georgia’s Own Credit Union.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan/credit card payments and loan advances; issue checks and redeem savings bonds.
• Maintain a balancing record in accordance with teller balancing standards.
• Ensure compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures while handling problems and complaints.
• Balance ATM, execute branch capture, complete branch recaps and manage member accounts.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of branch technology and systems (ATMs, cash recyclers, debit card issues, check scanning, ITMs).
• Support audits and adhere to regulatory requirements; open/close consumer and business membership accounts.
• Educate members on services and the benefits of the credit union; assist with loans and document review.
• Maintain follow-up plans in the system to ensure timely communication.
