Job summary

Georgia's Own Credit Union in Atlanta is seeking a Universal Banker I to blend teller duties with sales, delivering exceptional member service.

You will handle account openings, deposits, loans, and other credit union services, building relationships and guiding members to the best products. This full-time role includes a competitive hourly base, incentive program, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years in financial branch or retail sales environment.
• Ability to cover at other branches and Saturday rotations.
• Able to communicate effectively with members in writing and verbally.
• Experience with loan applications and internal policies.
• Knowledge of lending and member services policies.
• Math skills for basic calculations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet members warmly and build rapport across in-person, phone, and digital channels.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other transactions.
• Maintain teller balancing per standards.
• Follow Credit Union policies while handling problems and complaints.
• Operate branch technology including ATMs, ITMs, and cash recyclers.
• Support audits and regulatory compliance.
• Open and close consumer and business memberships.
• Assist with loan applications, notify decisions, and witness signing.
• Educate members on services and cross-sell where appropriate.
• Collaborate with team to improve service and efficiency.
