Job summary

Georgia’s Own Credit Union is seeking a Universal Banker I who will blend teller duties with sales to meet members’ financial needs. You’ll assist with account openings, deposits, loans, and other credit union services, while building relationships and recommending suitable products.

The role emphasizes exceptional service, compliance, and teamwork. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 1–3 years’ relevant experience. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a financial branch environment or retail sales preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with members in person, over the phone, or digitally.
• Experience balancing cash transactions and adhering to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and ensure they feel valued and connected to Georgia’s Own Credit Union.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan/credit card payments.
• Balance teller records following balancing standards.
• Open/close Consumer and Business Membership accounts.
• Explain services and educate members on products available.
• Document member interactions in the IRM system and ensure timely follow-up.
• Support branch operations and assist during audits and compliance tasks.
