First Merchants Bank is seeking a Client Relationship Representative (Universal Banker) - Reserve to join our team in Michigan. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service, completing bank transactions accurately, and recommending products that meet customers’ financial needs.

You will balance cash and daily transactions, ensure regulatory compliance, and actively participate in a high-performing sales environment by selling bank products and making referrals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience selling products or services.
• Minimum of 1 year of sales, banking and/or related experience.
• Extensive travel required; travel daily to banking centers within assigned region.
• S.A.F.E. Act Registration by 3 months from hire date via NMLS.
• Ability to obtain Notary Public designation.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• In-depth knowledge of products/services offered by the bank.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests for banking transactions.
• Answer inquiries and resolve issues with customer-focused solutions.
• Build customer loyalty and advocacy.
• Balance cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting.
• Follow information security and privacy procedures.
• Assist with opening and/or closing banking center.
• Sell bank products and refer customers to appropriate services.
• Stay informed about all bank products and participate in meetings and coaching.
• Train and guide staff in operational and sales skills.
