Job summary

Longview Bank in Ogden, IL is seeking an experienced Universal Banker to support customers with online and mobile banking, set up access, and assist with bill pay. You will greet customers, identify needs, and provide timely, accurate help in person and by phone.

You will educate customers on products and digital tools, open and service deposit accounts, and cross-sell services. This full-time, hourly role includes a rotating Saturday schedule and a benefits package.

Qualifications

Title: Universal Banker

Status: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Schedule: 40 hours per week, M-F with rotating Saturdays

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Assist customers with online and mobile banking, including access setup, password resets, and bill pay support
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers, identifying needs, and providing timely, accurate, and professional support in person and over the phone
  • Educate customers on bank products, services, and digital banking tools; identify opportunities to recommend appropriate solutions and make referrals as needed
  • Open, maintain, and close consumer and business deposit accounts; assist with account servicing requests (e.g., address changes, signer updates, stop payments)
  • Develop a working knowledge of all products and services offered by the bank.
  • Must have a “how can I help you” attitude at all times and be focused on a team atmosphere.
  • Resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly, escalating issues when appropriate
  • Process a variety of financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, payments, etc.) with a high degree of accuracy and in accordance with established procedures
  • Support debit card services, including ordering, activation, disputes, limit changes, and account security measures
  • Maintain operational efficiency by completing required reports, scanning and processing documents, and managing follow-up on pending or exception items
  • Cross-sell Bank products and services.
  • Complete all training as required by management.
  • Comply with BSA/AML training and report any suspicious activity to the BSA officer.
  • Comply with all Bank policies and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support branch operations and bank needs.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of customer service or banking experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and identify customer needs.
  • Basic knowledge of banking products, services, and regulatory requirements (e.g., BSA/AML)
  • High attention to detail with accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a team environment, and adapt to changing branch needs.
