Responsibilities

  • Provide top-notch customer service, analysis, and consultation for all existing and potential customers, while accurately and effectively processing transactions.
  • Process transactions for deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier checks, opening and processing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, referrals and inventory of branch items as needed.
  • Balance teller drawers, vault, night depository; investigate discrepancies and make corrections as needed.
  • Provide efficient and courteous customer service, cross-marketing products, and services to generate new business for the financial institution.
  • Prepare, compile, and maintain relevant documentation regarding all bank products/transactions ensuring compliance with all bank policy and procedures and regulatory laws and regulations.
  • Performs other duties such as answering calls and assisting other departments when appropriate.
  • Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships.

Description

Using sound banking and business practices, the Universal Banker will serve the needs of both existing and prospective customers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a team-oriented environment, delivers remarkable customer service, and demonstrates a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Prior cash handling experience is essential, and the ability to build strong customer relationships is key to success in this role.


Duties and Responsibilities


  1. Consistently provide top-notch, high quality customer service, analysis, and consultation, for all existing and potential customers, while accurately and effectively processing transactions and supporting sales.

  2. Process transactions for various bank products and services including, but not limited to: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier checks, opening and processing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, referrals and inventory of branch items as needed.

  3. Reconcile and balance teller drawers, vault, mail drop and night depository. Investigate discrepancies and make corrections as needed.

Desirable Requirements


  • Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related area

  • 1-2 years banking experience
