Parkland Health is seeking a Full Time Unit Technician/Health Unit Coordinator for the Main Hospital Building (1st Floor). The role supports patient care, clerical tasks, and acts as the unit’s primary information resource.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, basic care, and coordinating communications among staff, patients, and families. The position requires nursing/medical support training and hospital experience, with CPR certification required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• One year acute care hospital experience.
• Heartsaver CPR within 90 days of hire/placement.
• Completion of Parkland's job specific training program may count as 1 year experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy tasks and assist with lab draws as needed.
• Coordinate patient care and clerical needs as primary unit contact.
• Provide basic hygiene care and routine procedures under RN supervision.
• Maintain accurate patient records and input data for reports.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges, and transport duties.
