Qualifications

• Must have completed or hold one of the following: formal nurse aide course, current certified nurse aide registry, medical assistant course, medical assistant certificate, patient care technician course, current patient care technician certificate, must be enrolled in accredited nursing program with basic fundamentals of nursing documentation, graduates from accredited nursing school, Parkland's job specific training program.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy tasks and lab draws for the unit as needed.
• Coordinate patient care and clerical needs as the primary unit contact.
• Provide basic hygiene care, injections, venipunctures, and ROM exercises under RN direction.
• Maintain patient records and generate reports for unit decisions.
• Admit, transfer, discharge patients and manage unit logs and supplies.
• Uphold infection prevention and confidentiality, while supporting patient-centered care.
