Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a healthcare program.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience reading and transcribing medical orders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate medical records for patients.
• Transcribe medical orders accurately and distribute to other disciplines as needed.
• Serve as a friendly resource for patients, families, staff and visitors at the nursing station.
• Coordinate unit operations to optimize the delivery of safe patient care.
• Schedule tests, appointments and transportation as needed in a timely manner.
• Liaise for inquiries and direct them to the appropriate person for resolution.
