As a Unit Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting our nursing team while helping create a welcoming, organized environment for patients, families, and visitors. If you enjoy multitasking, communicating with people, and keeping operations running smoothly, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes of patient care. As the central point of communication for the nursing unit, you will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure information flows accurately and efficiently, so patients receive exceptional care.
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with previous clerical, administrative, or customer service experience. Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and computer skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment. Previous experience as a Unit Clerk, Unit Secretary, or in a hospital or medical office setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, electronic medical records, physician order entry, and healthcare documentation is also preferred. Full Time position, 11:00pm-7:00am, Monday-Friday with every other weekend and holiday.
