RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Unit Secretary at RWJUH Somerset in New Jersey. You will act as the central point of communication for the nursing unit, welcoming patients and families, coordinating admissions and discharges, and supporting the daily operations of the unit.

To be considered for this position, it is preferred that candidateshave a high school diploma or equivalent, along with previous clerical, administrative, or customer service experience. Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and computer skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment. Previous experience as a Unit Clerk, Unit Secretary, or in a hospital or medical office setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, electronic medical records, physician order entry, and healthcare documentation is also preferred.
