Creekside-Care-Center-of-Gahanna is seeking a motivated LVN or RN to join as Unit Manager in a skilled nursing setting. You will supervise nursing staff, ensure quality care, and support administration in compliance with regulations.

Qualifikationen

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State.
• 3 years’ experience in a Supervisor role in healthcare, Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• Minimum six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing facility administration.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must be able to communicate policies, procedures, regulations, reports, etc., to personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies.
• Strong utilization knowledge of Point Click Care
• Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet)
• Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Aufgaben

• Perform duties as described in the Nurse – RN or LVN Job Description, as applicable.
• Assist the Director of Nursing and nursing administration to supervise nursing staff to ensure quality nursing care is provided to all residents.
• Provide clinical expertise to facilitate and supervise quality of care.
• Identify safety concerns and take appropriate actions to assure patient safety.
• Make regular rounds on nursing units and on all shifts to assess performance of nursing staff and monitor quality of care.
• Assist in developing and/or complying with policies aimed to ensure nursing department compliance with all regulations.
• Participate in internal audits of nursing practices and in developing and implementing a plan of correction when deficits are identified.
• Participate in ensuring nursing budget parameters are maintained.
• Assist in ensuring staffing of the nursing department is adequate to provide quality care.
• Engage in orientation, performance evaluation and on-call scheduling for nursing staff.
• Support infection control practices and maintain a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• Oversee nurse aides and uphold resident care policies as directed by leadership.
