The Unit Manager will oversee daily operations and clinical care, assist the Director of Nursing, and coordinate unit functions to meet resident needs and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• 2+ years direct care in long-term care, restorative or geriatric setting as an LPN/RN.
• 1+ year nursing management experience.
• Current CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develop, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the unit assigned.
• Ensure compliance with current applicable federal, state and local regulations and facility policies and procedures.
• Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by staff. Reports to the Director of Nursing as required.
• Maintains an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., on the unit.
• Assists in the development of assessments of the nursing needs of each resident.
• Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated.
• Encourages staff to attend outside training programs and schedules times.
• Reviews nurses’ notes to ensure care is properly documented and aligns with resident wishes.
• Other duties as assigned.
