Job summary

Holiday Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Rhode Island is seeking a Unit Manager for a full-time daytime shift. The role led by Marquis Health Consulting Services focuses on nursing leadership and resident-centered care on an assigned unit.

You will oversee nursing operations, ensure high-quality care, and guide staff while aligning with safety and regulatory standards. A licensed RN or LPN with BLS is required, with a nursing degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, active RN or LPN license in Rhode Island.
• Valid BLS certification required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited program preferred.
• Minimum five years of nursing experience and two years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote optimal functioning.
• Ensure incident reporting with follow-up and communication to leadership.
• Participate in facility committees as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Develop and evaluate policies based on clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor care plans, regulations, and quality standards to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care.

Salary: $79k-$125k annually

Responsibilities for Unit Manager:

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for Unit Manager:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an LPN or RN in the state of Rhode Island.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
